Jatham Village

Aseer Region boasts heritage treasures with deep historical roots. These villages share the enduring and authentic story of Aseer across generations, reflecting its rich cultural identity and heritage. In coordination with the Urban Landscape, studies are currently underway to develop all heritage villages across the region.

The village of Jadham is located 60 km to the north of Abha, near King Faisal Road. It is about 500 meters away from the main tourist strip. Jadham also has easy access to mosques and schools of various educational levels for boys and girls in the surrounding area.

One of the oldest villages in Bilhamar, Jadham is considered a civil and cultural center of the region as the headquarters of the emirate and the court were located here. It was densely populated until about 30 years ago, but people gradually moved to modern cities.

Historical Significance: The village served as an ancient seat of governance and judiciary, and a gathering place for the people of neighboring villages to seek reconciliation and resolve disputes. It is distinguished by its authentic Asiri architectural heritage.
