Al-Masqi Village is located south of Abha City at a distance of approximately 33 km near the road linking Tamenyah and Abha, and about 3 km south of King Khalid University. Most essential services are available in the surrounding area, such as mosques, schools, a police station, a post office, and a health center.
Al-Masqi is considered one of the oldest villages in southern Saudi Arabia. It served as a transit station for travelers to the holy sites and the Levant. Narratives indicate that the village dates back more than 2,000 years and is among the “visible villages” mentioned by Allah Almighty in the Holy Qur’an in Surah Saba (34:18), referring to contiguous villages between Saba and the Levant, enabling safe travel by night and day.
