Al Khalaf Village is one of the villages of the Aseer Region, located 120 km from Abha City, with an area of approximately 10 km². Its architecture is characterized by harmony between building styles and surrounding agricultural fields balanced with the urban mass. The village is also known for its tall palaces, ancient high towers, the famous cave “Kharq Umm Kharmah,” the historic Al-Matar Mosque, Al-Qatfah Mosque, circular rock-carved reservoirs, and the Bir Barha well (also known as Bani Hilal Well) located in Al-Zahr Village, which is hand-carved, 20 meters deep, and contains water year-round.
