Launch of the Second Edition of the Aseer Investment Forum Under the Patronage of Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz

The forum comes as part of the efforts of the Aseer Region Development Authority to strengthen the region’s position as a leading investment destination. In its second edition, it brings together 1,500 guests, including leaders of development sectors, investors, and decision-makers, to explore ways to enhance the investment environment in the region and integrate public and private sector efforts in alignment with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.

The forum opens with a ministerial session titled “Aseer Rises… An Investment Destination on the Global Map,” featuring His Excellency Mr. Abdullah Al-Attiyah, Minister of Municipality Affairs of the State of Qatar; His Excellency the Minister of Tourism, Mr. Ahmed Al-Khateeb; and His Excellency the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Eng. Abdullah Al-Swaha. The session addresses the role of infrastructure, digital transformation, and major events—including Abha’s bid to host the 2034 FIFA World Cup—in supporting the region’s economic development pathway.

His Excellency the Minister of Commerce, Dr. Majid Al-Qasabi, also participates in the forum through a leadership address highlighting the performance of the commercial sector in the Aseer Region, the ministry’s role in facilitating the investor journey and stimulating the business environment, as well as emphasizing the role of chambers of commerce in supporting regional growth.

The forum also features the participation of His Excellency Mr. Mohammed Al-Quwaiz, Chairman of the Capital Market Authority, who will discuss enabling promising regions through financial markets, available financing mechanisms for investors, and the evolution of regulations and systems in the context of stimulating the national economy.

The forum includes five main sessions that discuss key aspects of the investment environment in the Aseer Region and opportunities across the tourism, technology, infrastructure, and creative economy sectors. It also highlights the role of the Public Investment Fund in supporting development through its flagship projects and the contribution of its portfolio companies in accelerating growth and enhancing sustainability.

Among the forum’s most notable announcements is the launch of “Qimam Al-Sarat” Company as an investment arm to support land development activities and facilitate regulatory procedures for investors. The forum will also unveil a number of high-impact projects being showcased for the first time, which are expected to strengthen Aseer’s position on the national and international economic map.

The forum also hosts a series of specialized workshops addressing tourism financing, investor empowerment, regulatory enhancement, and the presentation of investment opportunities. Accompanying the events is an exhibition featuring a diverse range of projects and a dedicated pavilion for supporting entities. The forum is also expected to witness the signing of several public-private partnership agreements.

In its second edition, the forum reaffirms the Aseer Region’s commitment to achieving comprehensive development based on the equitable distribution of investment opportunities across governorates, strengthening the region’s environmental and cultural character, and integrating governmental and community efforts to build a comprehensive and sustainable investment model.

The forum represents a strategic platform for strengthening national and international partnerships, stimulating high-quality investments, and enhancing the region’s readiness to host major projects, within a national direction aimed at achieving a prosperous economy, a vibrant society, and a global standing for all regions of the Kingdom.
