Memorandum with the National eLearning Center

The National eLearning Center and the Asir Development Authority signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today in Riyadh to grant the authority access to “Shared Resources” via the FutureX national eLearning platform. The Shared Resources initiative aims to facilitate resource exchange among various entities, accelerating the adoption of eLearning across different sectors.

The Aseer Region Development Authority and the National eLearning Center in Riyadh signed a memorandum of understanding to enable the Authority to benefit from “Shared Resources” through the national eLearning platform FutureX. The Shared Resources initiative is responsible for enhance resource exchange among various entities to accelerate the adoption of eLearning across different sectors.

The Aseer Region Development Authority was represented in signing the memorandum by the Vice President for Operations, Dr. Amr Al-Omari, while the National eLearning Center was represented by the Deputy Director General for the Enablement Sector, Dr. Hajar bin Asfour.

The areas of cooperation include enabling the Aseer Region Development Authority to access shared resources through the FutureX national eLearning platform, such as reusable eLearning content repositories, open educational resources, subscriptions to local and international courses, microsites, as well as services including mentoring, learning analytics, issuance of electronic certificates, and artificial intelligence tools for eLearning.

It is worth noting that the signing of this memorandum comes as part of the Authority’s efforts to enhance joint cooperation with various government entities and to develop employees’ capabilities and diversify their learning sources. The National eLearning Center also is responsible for strengthen cooperation and integration among entities, sectors, and interdisciplinary fields, and to accelerate, coordinate, and organize the development of a flexible, responsive, and collaborative ecosystem that meets changing needs.
