Aseer Development Authority Works with Its Partners for This Year’s Aseer Summer

In a continued effort to position Aseer as a premier tourism destination, the Aseer Development Authority is working closely with its strategic partners in the tourism ecosystem to finalize preparations for the 2024 Aseer Summer Season. This collaboration follows a successful 2023 summer season that welcomed nearly 3 million visitors. The coordination aims to leverage Aseer’s strengths and unique attractions, while enhancing the overall visitor experience across the region—especially in Abha.
On the other hand, the Authority and its partners continue to pursue continuous development across all aspects of tourism events, starting with sites suitable for tourism investment, including mountain peaks, the quality of events, and the standard of products offered to visitors for tourism purposes. In addition, numerous programs and events are introduced each year, positioning Aseer to race toward the future in achieving its strategic objective of welcoming more than 9 million visitors annually. The Authority also applies lessons learned from previous years, increasing opportunities for improvement in the years ahead.
The Aseer Region Development Authority recently launched the region’s tourism identity “Aseer Tuhawwel” and its website “Discover Aseer,” building on the region’s strengths that enable it to compete with global tourism capitals. The identity draws inspiration from the region’s heritage, authenticity, diverse geographical terrain, and rich culture shaped by demographic diversity. The new tourism identity also encompasses a wide range of distinctive experiences aligned with its new slogan across all governorates of Aseer.
In response to recent content circulated on social media claiming that the summer of 2024 would be the final summer season, the Aseer Region Development Authority denies these claims and urges the public to obtain information from official sources and to verify accuracy before sharing information. The Authority confirms the continuation of its development and tourism initiatives for this summer and the coming years across multiple tourism destinations throughout the region’s governorates.
