The Authority is organizationally linked to the Council of Ministers in accordance with Article Three of the Organization of Regional and Urban Development Authorities issued by Council of Ministers Resolution No. 475 dated 05/07/1439 AH

Our Roles

The main detailed roles of the Aseer Region Development Authority are divided into four tasks

Planning

Formulating general policies for the development and advancement of the region.
Preparing plans, studies, and comprehensive strategic plans for the region and their executive programs and approving them.
Preparing building regulations and land use controls.
Establishing programs, foundations, necessary procedures, and incentive mechanisms for private sector participation.
Identifying and supporting investment attraction opportunities in the Aseer region.

Coordination

Reviewing and approving regional development plans prepared by other entities.
Prioritizing the implementation of programs and projects in the region in accordance with development plans.
Proposing expropriation of certain properties for regional development.
Reviewing land subdivision plans.

Implementation

Supervising the rehabilitation and improvement of existing urban neighborhoods, including historic districts.
Establishing a database to serve as a reference for regional development.
Assisting in establishing new companies or building partnerships with investors.

Oversight

Direct supervision of planning, design, and implementation of strategic programs and projects.
Following up on infrastructure project planning in coordination with relevant agencies.
Monitoring the implementation of programs and projects in the region.
Coordinating and organizing efforts among entities related to regional development and advancement.
