Presently Acting CEO at the Aseer Development Authority (ASDA). ASDA is tasked with proposing a regional strategy and getting it approved by the relevant center of government bodies (done), and overseeing its implementation (ongoing). ASDA has a powerful mandate per the Council of Ministers decision 475 to oversee and direct development in Aseer.

Advisor to the Minister of Investment June 2020 – January 2022, responsible for leading the National Investment Strategy and establishing the delivery unit associated with it.

Previously worked as Advisor at the Ministry of Economy and Planning. Was responsible for several files including Fiscal Policy (Fiscal Balance Program, later renamed Fiscal Sustainability Program), Pension Reform, and other files of a national character. Seconded as Acting President of the Center for Strategic Development during 2017.

Between 2010 and 2015 worked at McGraw-Hill Education first as Business Development Manager and later as Country Manager.

Was PE Investment Manager at Manara Equity Partners in Bahrain during 2007 – 2009.

Worked four years in Corporate Planning of Saudi Aramco 2001 – 2005 analyzing the global economics and politics of oil markets and advising on corporate strategy.

Born and raised in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.  Attended Dhahran Ahliyya Schools. Attended Princeton University 1997-2001.  Received Bachelors’ Degree in Operations Research and Financial Engineering, with two certificates (minors) in Applied and Computational Mathematics and in Engineering Management Systems. Attended Harvard Business School 2005-2007 and received a Master of Business Administration.
