Aseer Development Authority Collaborates with Strategic Partners for 2024 Summer Season

In a continued effort to position Aseer as a premier tourism destination, the Aseer Development Authority is working closely with its strategic partners in the tourism ecosystem to finalize preparations for the 2024 Aseer Summer Season. This collaboration follows a successful 2023 summer season that welcomed nearly 3 million visitors. The coordination aims to leverage Aseer’s strengths and unique attractions, while enhancing the overall visitor experience across the region—especially in Abha.

The Authority and its partners are also focused on continuously improving all aspects of the summer season—from identifying and optimizing tourism-worthy sites, including mountaintops, to elevating the quality of events and products offered to visitors. Each year brings new programs and attractions that position Aseer as a forward-looking destination, with an ambitious strategic goal of attracting more than 9 million visitors annually. Lessons learned from previous seasons are being applied to further enhance future performance.

Recently, the Aseer Development Authority launched the region’s new tourism brand identity: “Aseer Tahawwal,” along with its official tourism platform “Discover Aseer.” This identity reflects the region’s potential to compete with top global destinations, inspired by Aseer’s authentic heritage, geographic diversity, and rich cultural fabric rooted in its demographic variety. The identity showcases a wide range of immersive experiences tailored to all governorates in Aseer under its new slogan.

In response to recent social media posts suggesting that the 2024 summer season will be the last, the Authority categorically denies such claims and urges the public to rely on verified sources. It stresses the importance of fact-checking before sharing information and reaffirms its commitment to continuing development and tourism efforts this summer and in the years to come across multiple destinations within the region.
