Abha International Airport became the second most punctual airport in the world, as revealed by OAG, a leading provider of digital flight information.
It also moved past the status of a regional airport by becoming an International Airport, in compliance with conditions, specifications and standards stipulated by the International Civil Aviation Organization. This boost in status came after expanding airport runways, improving lounges for business class passengers and fulfilling technical standards set by the International Civil Aviation Organization.
