“Aseer is so beautiful” — 5700 volunteers participate in improving Aseer’s landscape
The Aseer Development Authority has led many volunteer projects to develop teamwork skills, including the “Beautiful Aseer” initiative. About 5,700 volunteers participated in this initiative to improve the urban landscape in 36 cities and achieve 36 goals within 36 hours. The initiative was powered by the education departments, municipalities, and Civil Defense.
Over a one-month period, student volunteers formed several teams and were trained in preparatory courses for maintenance work on all deformed sites. They were also taught about psychological and social causes of this phenomenon in order to preserve the region for future generations.
Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Aseer region, emphasized that the region has transformed tremendously due to such community initiatives that contribute towards its upliftment.
