Aseer Region Strengthens Its Position as a Sustainable Tourism Destination at Arabian Travel Market 2025

The Aseer Development Authority is making its largest appearance yet at this year’s Arabian Travel Market (ATM), presenting a wide range of innovative and interactive experiences through its “Discover Aseer” pavilion, reflecting its growing ambitions. This participation highlights the Authority’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the region’s presence on the global tourism map.

For the first time, “Discover Aseer” is participating with its own independent pavilion at Arabian Travel Market, showcasing the region’s rich cultural and natural diversity while building new strategic alliances. As part of its program, the Aseer Development Authority will sign five Memorandums of Understanding and partnerships with leading sector organizations, including:
-Saudia Airlines
-Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC)
-Airport Group
-Seyaha Company
-MyTable Company
These agreements mark a strategic step toward expanding Aseer’s tourism offerings, enhancing visitor experiences, and accelerating investment opportunities in aviation, sustainability, hospitality, and technology sectors.

Commenting on the participation, His Excellency Eng. Hashim Al-Dabbagh, Acting CEO of the Aseer Development Authority, said:
“Our participation in Arabian Travel Market marks an important turning point for Aseer. We welcomed 8 million tourists in 2024, and through signing five major strategic partnerships during the exhibition, we are turning our tourism ambitions into tangible business outcomes. These agreements will directly contribute to attracting investment to the region, expanding our offerings to visitors, and solidifying Aseer’s position as a key contributor to the national tourism economy. This participation is not just about presence; it marks the beginning of a new phase of growth and collaboration for Aseer.”
Additionally, “Discover Aseer” will host a specialized workshop for travel and tourism companies, highlighting investment opportunities, destination development strategies, and partnership initiatives aimed at positioning Aseer as a leading cultural and eco-tourism destination year-round.

Aligned with Saudi Arabia’s national tourism vision, Aseer continues its efforts to promote sustainable tourism, aiming to attract 9.1 million visitors annually and contribute SAR 26 billion to the Kingdom’s tourism GDP by 2030.
“Discover Aseer” invites all visitors to explore its pavilion at the Arabian Travel Market, taking place at Dubai World Trade Centre from April 28 to May 1, 2025, at stand number ME1830.ss
